Help for children in Nepal and India.
KNI was founded in December 1996. It is located in the town of Würzburg, Germany, near the university of Würzburg. The board members are: 1. Chairwoman: Siglind Mengele Co-chairwoman: Jutta Schaut Treasurer: Bernhard Amling Secretary: Cornelia Reinhard The purpose of KNI is to support children that are poverty stricken as well as those without adequate financial means. This society is apolitical and non-religious. KNI is registered as charitable society in Germany.
Why was this society founded?
While travelling to Nepal and India private citizens from Würzburg were shocked at the extreme poverty they saw and experienced. They felt that something should be done do alleviate these conditions. –Their response was to form this organisation.
